About Generation 4 Equality

Generation 4 Equality is a youth-focused initiative led by the Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC) that empowers Indigenous youth overcoming systemic barriers.

The Generation 4 Equality (G4E) platform is youth-led in both its design and purpose, centering the voices and needs of Indigenous youth across Turtle Island and Inuit Nunangat. By supporting and uplifting Indigenous youth, NWAC is helping build the next generation of leaders and decision makers.

The G4E platform recognizes that Indigenous youth are key change-makers, carrying forward the strength, knowledge and resilience of their communities. When Indigenous youth are equipped with the right tools, resources, and culturally grounded supports, they are empowered to shape the world of tomorrow. By supporting Indigenous youth, we can continue to build the collective capacity of Indigenous peoples across Canada to challenge systemic inequities and create a more equitable society.

By uplifting and supporting the growth of Indigenous youth, we help cultivate a generation that can lead transformative change for generations to come.

What will you find?

The G4E platform is designed to share tools and resources that support Indigenous youth in achieving their goals, whether related to gender equity, accessing post-secondary education, or jump-starting their careers.

The G4E platform was originally created to support Indigenous youth working towards gender equality and gender diversity. Over the past two years, however, NWAC has collaborated with Indigenous youth to develop additional resources that address systemic barriers to post-secondary education and career advancement. This work marks the second phase of G4E, which focuses on creating toolkits that promote the economic advancement of Indigenous youth.

On this website, you will find a comprehensive collection of tools and resources designed to empower Indigenous youth. These materials support success across multiple pathways, including education, career development, and gender equity.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this platform further, we’d love to hear from you and continue the conversation.
